Does Muni accommodate dietary requirements?
We are pleased to offer accommodations for pescatarian, shellfish or crustacean allergies, tree nut/peanut allergies, pregnancy restrictions, gluten free and dairy free for the current menu, with at least 3 days’ advance notice.
Eggs and dashi are present throughout the menu and cannot be omitted from a guest’s experience.
Does Muni accommodate vegetarian or vegan?
Due to use of dashi in our cooking, we are unable to fully accommodate vegetarians or vegans, unfortunately.
Is the menu at Muni meat heavy?
Not at all. The menu is composed mostly of vegetables, with a few courses of meat and fish interspersed throughout. Any animal products we serve are carefully sourced from farms who raise and slaughter with the utmost care and respect. We encourage guests who might not normally eat meat to indulge for the evening.
Does Muni accommodate children?
Children over the age of 5 are more than welcome to dine with us. Our menu is generally considered child-friendly and suitable for anyone curious. We warmly welcome children at Muni, but please note that due to limited space in the restaurant, children must be included in the overall party size when making a reservation. All guests will be served the same set menu, and no reduction in menu size or price is available. We do not have high chairs available due to the small size of the restaurant. Prams are welcome with advance notice and can only be accommodated in our verandah dining area.
Can I bring my own wine, and is there a corkage fee?
Should you wish to bring a special bottle, a $60 corkage fee is required, with a maximum of 1 bottle per table. If the wine matches a bottle listed on our menu, a corkage fee equivalent to the menu price of that bottle will apply.
Does Muni offer gift vouchers?
Apologise we have stopped selling new vouchers. If you have an existing voucher and would like to redeem it for a prepaid ticket, please contact us at hello@munirestaurant.com.
How often does the menu change?
Our menu changes seasonally, with a different theme for each season, to provide our customers with a comprehensive dining experience. Stay in touch with our social media or subscribing to our newsletter for our latest activities.
Why does Muni use pre-paid reservations?
By implementing a pre-paid ticketing system, we can anticipate the number of guests and allocate our resources to provide the highest level of attention to each individual seat at the best possible price. This approach allows us to ensure that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience in a thoughtfully managed setting.
Can I reschedule my reservation?
Booking amendments made with 7 days’ notice of your booking, shall be eligible to reschedule to a future date within 2 months. Any amendments to your reservation must be issued in writing via email to hello@munirestaurant.com. Where all changes to reservations will be based on availability.
Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?
All sales are final and non-refundable. In the event you are unable to attend for your dining experience we encourage you to transfer the tickets to other guests of your choice.
Can I give my ticket away or sell it?
The tickets are completely transferable. Please note, however, tickets cannot be sold or offered for sale to any third parties at a higher price than originally paid for at the booking or used for any promotional or commercial purpose. Bookings not in line with the above policy will be cancelled by the restaurant.
What happens if I am running late?
Due to the pacing of our service, we kindly request that our guests arrive on time. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in missing part of your experience. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if the guest is more than 30 minutes late. Such cancellations are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
I missed my reservation date, can I apply my ticket towards a future date?
We are unable to apply missed tickets to future dates.
How long should I anticipate the dining experience to go for?
Please allow 3 hours for us to deliver a well addressed Muni dining experience.
